Project: Logo Mnemonic
Founded by LeBron James and Maverick Carter, The Springhill Company is rooted in the Akron, Ohio, housing projects where their journey began. For this brand mnemonic, the creative brief required a literal and metaphorical "construction" of the identity. I focused on animating the logo’s evolution from its foundational elements into the final lockup, mirroring the company’s rise from its humble origins. Springhill is the company behind media like HBO’s The Shop, Netflix’s Hustle, and Space Jam: A New Legacy.
Project: Making Moves
In the web series Making Moves, NBA players transition from the court to the closing table. I was tasked with creating the motion graphics for two distinct journeys: Tim Hardaway Jr.’s search for a new donut shop location and Al Horford’s relocation to Philadelphia. To reflect the "under construction" nature of these ventures, I explored a design aesthetic that utilized architectural blueprints and sketches to build out the typography, utilizing ink-trap textures to give the graphics a tactile, drafted feel.
Project: Throwing Bones
In the web series Throwing Bones, host Draymond Green invites celebrities to the table for high-stakes dominoes and candid conversation. Working in association with Uninterrupted, I helped develop a visual style rooted in hand-painted calligraphy and "field notes" textures. To capture the raw energy of the game, I utilized stop-motion cutouts and hand-drawn typography, creating a kinetic feel that mirrors scribbling notes and tracking scores on a scrap of paper with your friends and family.
